He said that Sampat and Champat have been part of the comic universe for more than 40 years, and seeing them come alive as an animated television series is a deeply thrilling experience. He added that Lotpot Comics has already introduced highly successful children’s intellectual properties such as Motu Patlu and Sheikh Chilli & Friends, and voiced confidence that broadcasters will increasingly embrace Indian homegrown intellectual properties. He also expressed hope that audiences would shower Sampat Champat with the same affection and support.
Adding to the excitement, Shivank Arora, Chief Marketing Officer of Lotpot Comics and producer of the series, described the project as his first venture as a producer of a children’s television show. He stated that the team had worked tirelessly over several years to bring the concept to life and expressed his sincere hope that the series would break records and resonate strongly with viewers across the country.
Dr. Harvinder Mankkar, the comic writer and illustrator who created Sampat Champat four decades ago for Lotpot Comics, described the television adaptation as a proud milestone for everyone associated with the characters. He said that after viewing the completed animation series, he believed it had surpassed expectations and expressed optimism that audiences would connect with it in the same spirit.
The launch of Sampat Champat underscores POGO’s ongoing commitment to presenting engaging, homegrown entertainment for young viewers while celebrating India’s rich storytelling heritage. The collaboration also represents another important achievement for Lotpot Comics as it expands its celebrated intellectual property portfolio into the animation space.
Combining humor, emotion, and high-quality animation, Sampat Champat is poised to become a new favorite among children and families. The creators extended their gratitude to all partners, artists, and fans whose support made the project possible.
